What is double drive time?

Double drive time covers the travel between your pick-up and drop-off. When that trip is 15 minutes or more, we add that drive time to your total once more on top of the hours worked. For example, if the whole move takes 5 hours and the drive between locations is 30 minutes, your invoice shows 5.5 hours. It's a standard, transparent way movers account for travel — and it's always shown clearly on your bill.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Your rate is $119/hr covering the truck, fuel, and movers, with the van/truck minimum and any double drive time explained up front. Stairs and floor level are captured on the quote form so they're reflected in your estimate, not sprung on you afterward.

Why does the accuracy of my quote depend on what I include?

Your estimate is calculated from what you tell us — bedrooms, box count, furniture list, and floor access. If most or all of your items aren't included in the form, the estimate can't reflect the real job, so the final price may differ. Two extra minutes of detail up front means a number you can actually plan around.

How do I get the most accurate quote?

Use the quote form and complete every section: bedroom count, estimated boxes, the furniture checklist, floor level at both addresses, and any photos of large or unusual items. Photos especially help us send the right crew and vehicle the first time.

How long will my move take?

It depends on where you're located, where you're moving to, and the amount you're moving. As a guide: studios and one-bedrooms typically take 2–4 hours, two- to three-bedroom homes 4–7 hours, and larger homes a full day. Providing detailed information in your quote lets us give you an accurate time window for your specific move.

Will the company disassemble and reassemble my furniture?

Yes — we disassemble and reassemble bed frames and standard furniture as part of every move, at no extra charge. This does not include specialty equipment such as home gyms and trampolines.

How do you protect my furniture during the move?

Accepted Answer

Every piece is wrapped in moving blankets and professional furniture covers before it leaves your home. Upholstery gets plastic wrap where appropriate, fragile surfaces get padding, and the load is secured in the truck so nothing shifts in transit.

What should I do with jewelry, documents, and valuables?

Keep irreplaceable items — jewelry, passports, medications, laptops, and critical documents — with you personally during the move. For everything else valuable, from art to antiques, point it out to your crew and it will be wrapped and handled with extra care.

Do I need to empty my dresser drawers?

Lightweight clothing can usually stay in sturdy dressers for local moves — we'll wrap the whole piece. Empty anything heavy, fragile, or valuable, and empty all drawers for long-distance moves or delicate furniture.

Yes — full and partial packing from $99, including two professional packers and basic supplies. We use proven techniques like stacking plates vertically to prevent breakage, and we offer unpacking with box removal at your new home too.

Basic moving supplies are included with every move. Need more? Request moving boxes, plastic wrap, and tape right on the quote form and we'll bring them.

Do you have a pet moving service?

We don't transport pets — for their safety and comfort, pets should travel with you or a specialized pet transport service. What we can do is make moving day calmer for them: we'll work around a closed 'pet room' and load their beds and supplies last so they're first off the truck.
